They have this "spy camera" and you can zoom in on any part of the room at Chucky Cheese's. Of course, Sebastian had to zoom in on his Daddy, the usual suspect or prey.

The Birthday Star

I'm not sure if Sebastian is actually enjoying the song and dance but I do know he liked being the "star" of his own show. I call it the Chucky Cheesiest Birthday song and dance. He was grinning from ear to ear though ;-) He'll always be my little boy, no matter how old he is! Hey, I'm the Mom and I get to think that for the rest of my life ;-P

A very Chucky Cheesiest Birthday party

For those of you who have kids, you are bound to have a birthday party at Chucky Cheese's. I thought we were in the clear when we were planning Sebastian's seventh birthday party. He hadn't requested his party at Chucky Cheese's in the past six years and truthfully, we've been to enough of them so I thought he'd be tired of them by now. I was soo wrong! Sebastian surprised me this year when he made a request to hold his party at Chucky Cheese's. I guess we'll have one more to go with Ava? Maybe we'll tell her that Chucky Cheese ran off with Minnie Mouse and we have to go all the way to Disney World to find them!

"A tisket, a tasket, a green and yellow basket?" Okay, lately I've been substituting the lyrics with "Ava's breadbasket" because she knows what to do when she is prompted and hears her cue "bread basket" ;-)

T-Ball Ceremony

Well, we came to the end of another season...t-ball season that is. We missed more than half of the games due to rain. The good news is that we didn't have to make up the games, especially now when the weather is getting hot and unbearable. The coach was nice enough to take the team out for ice cream after the final game and presented the players with trophies.

I think all the candidates should be disqualified on account that I have personality, poise and charisma! (she even has the pose down!!)

First Pool trip of summer

We took our first pool trip of the season two weekends ago when the temperature and humidity was really high. It's funny but Ava didn't enjoy her first pool trip last summer when we just returned from Vietnam. This year she was a little hesitant at first but when she got her "feet wet", she really warmed up to the idea of splash time! Especially since she had Daddy and big brother in the pool with her ;-)

Come full circle again

We have photo albums with actual photographs of Sebastian and Ava's digital photos are stored on our computers. Every once in a while, I'll come across a photograph of Sebastian that we scanned into our computer and I will find myself taking a trip down memory lane. Here is a picture of Sebastian on his slide when he was about two years old. We sold that slide he's sitting on at one of our yard sales. The slide Ava is sitting on was purchased this year at another yard sale. Ironically, it looks exactly like the one we had for Sebastian! If you pass by any house that has toddlers living there, I'm sure you will find an orange slide in the back yard or front yard. It's hard to believe that it was only five years ago when Sebastian was sitting on that slide!!
