Happy Halloween!

I'm posting a LOT of pictures from Halloween day and night. I tried to list them in sequential order. We started in the afternoon when Ava's daycare had a Halloween parade. We didn't get many pictures of the parade because the teachers marched the toddlers through one door and through another door. So the length of the march was about 15 seconds. They should have made a couple rounds around the daycare, in the same pattern so the parents waiting on the playground could get a couple shots of their children. Oh well, we were not lacking photos on Halloween night.

Catalog Order

I'm posting this picture on my blog for scrapbook purposes. Sebastian had his Halloween costume picked out way before I was ready to place the order. I brought the catalog to work so I wouldn't forget to order the costume. Sebastian circled his costume choice with a blue pen because he wanted to make sure I didn't order the wrong costume! You can see the blue ink scribble if you click on the picture. It will enlarge. I thought it was so cute.

Poster Child

See? She did the "pose" again right in front of the daycare! This was not a coincidence. I think I have a future model on my hands. Strike a pose!

Will the real Ava please step forward!

Halloween Humor

I was sitting in traffic the other day and noticed the car in front of me. I don't know what's scarier, the foot/trunk picture or the fact that I whipped out my digital camera while driving and took some shots.

I showed Sebastian the pictures when we got home and he was so funny. I could see his wheels were really turning in his head because he had to look at the picture closely and did a double take. The he replied that it couldn't be a "real" foot because the trunk would have broken the ankle!

I think Ava has been in front of the camera too long. Lately, when I ask her to smile for Mommy, she will stop what she's doing and go down on one knee or both knees, and do a pose for me. I don't prompt her or instruct her. It totally cracks me up! Where does she come up with this? I guess it doesn't help when Mommy says, "where'e the pretty girl? where is my beautiful girl?" You don't think it's all going to her head, do you?

The Pumpkin Carving Tradition

This was Sebastian's first time carving pumpkins. We have finally passed on the family torch/tradition to the next generation. He really enjoyed carving his pumpkin and wanted to carve another one but it was getting late and had to get ready for bed. I love the intense look on his face. He was so focused and serious. I was a little nervous at first because he thumb kept going in front of the carving tool. But we didn't lose any appendages. My little man!

The night before Halloween

Okay, we have watched "It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" at least four times already (I stole the image from someone else's blogsite). We are so sad, we recorded the Halloween special, even though we own the video and you can see the episode on YouTube at any time you wish.

The costumes are ready, the candy has been purchased, the homemade luminaries have been made (for the sidewalk), the pumpkins have been carved, the pumpkin seeds have been roasted and eaten, the lights and decorations have been strung....we are ready for Halloween!

Daddy's little girl

When ever we tell Ava it's time to go "bye-bye", she will run to get her shoes. If it's her boots, she sits in your lap so you can tie the laces. This afternoon Ava wanted to reciprocate and tried to help Daddy tie his boots.

Play Ball!

Another rainy day activity. All you need is a laundry basket and a bunch of balls. A home made ball pit! Of course some of the balls got away and Ava had to do some floor coverage.

Old fashion fun

Today was a rainy day and we basically had to stay indoors and find activities to keep us busy. As you will see in this video, sometimes good old fashion peek a boo is all the entertainment you need.

Creative I'm not!

It's funny, this is the second blog I've come across where the parent is displaying their creative gift bags for the orphanages. I was lucky if I could get all the gifts into a ziploc bag! Ingenious or insane? Maybe a little of both!

Play it again Sam!

We stopped at the Carter store and Ava found these musical stuffed puppies. Needless to say, she entertained herself for about 20 minutes. She also entertained the customers, the store workers and Mommy. I think I know what Santa is going to bring this Christmas!

A family that plays together, shops together?

We stopped at the outlet mall on Rt 611. Ironically, it was the same shopping outlet we passed a few years ago when we were on our way to The Great Wolf Lodge (an indoor water park and hotel).

Do you like Ava's paparazzi glasses?

Okay the train stopped, time to get out.

Boy, shopping makes me thirsty! (love those dimples)

After dinner pose.
