We had such a hectic schedule on Saturday. To summarize, I had to get the kids up and running at 8 a.m. I had made an apptmt for their annual flu shots. Suffice to say, Ava didn't know what was coming to her until we got to the examining room. You could see the hesitant look on her face as she was walking towards the examining room. She still remembers the very first Well visit when they stuck her with six shots/needles. Since then, every time she sees a nurse come in the examining room, she starts to freak out. So before Sebastian got his flu shot, she started the water works and ran out of the examining room. I had to try and talk her back into the room but ended up chasing her down the hall before she got to the main reception area. I think she was truly trying to escape. Poor baby. I hated telling her everything would be okay but how do you explain to a 22 mth old that the needle will just feel like a small prick. Kinda like when Sebastian fell on the playground and ended up with stitches. They had to numb the area around the eye before the stitches and we told him it would feel like a mosquito bite. Well, the shot stung like you know what and every time we pass the hospital, he reminds us of the "mosquito bite incident".
This place looks familiar....
Sebastian putting up a brave front.
Where's the nearest exit?
I don't care how much it "feels like"
OW....that hurt!
I don't care how much you love me....it still hurts!
We are outta here!
