The price for fashion

Okay, a little silly I know but I had to take a picture of my coworker's shoes. She showed us her five inch heels and we commented how it would be a death trap for me if I wore those shoes. She even joked about how the heels give her back problems but she feels special when she wears her fashionable shoes. All her shoes are higher than four inches because she has such a high arch in her feet now that it would hurt to walk in flat shoes. I've heard that before but I still don't understand why some women pay such a high price for fashion. Oh well.
