Under the weather

Ava may look cute and sweet in pink but she's been under the weather ever since she had her immunizations during her Well Visit last week. She ended up with a fever the next day and then seemed fine over the weekend. She had a rough night sleeping last night and tonight she was really clingy and her eyes were all glazed over. Not to mention her nose runs non stop and she slept the entire evening on my shoulder and lap. This must be the introduction to the cold season. There's already six babies out sick from Ava's daycare. We're hoping and praying that Ava never gets pneumonia like Sebastian did when he was a baby.

It's a tradition!

Well, this is what we stayed up until 11:30 p.m. for last night. We use to be really prepared for Halloween and have our pumpkins all picked out and carved at least a couple days before hand. We seem to get later and later every year. But as you can see, the love for pumpkin art really pays off.

p.s. My carving is on the left ;-)

The many faces of Ava

Thanks to the talent of a special friend, we were able to have the cutest Smurfette for our first Halloween together!

Life imitating Cartoon?

Ava made her debut as Smurfette at the Halloween Parade today. Is it a coincidence that they bear a striking resemblance?

Marley vs. Azrael. Azrael was Gargamel's sidekick on The Smurfs. Yes, I am reliving my childhood ;-)

Fall is here!

We spent a picture perfect day with Grandmom last weekend. I discovered the photo "effects" I have on my iPhoto software. Who needs a professional phtographer! Pictures DO say a thousand words....

Ava's First Spaghetti Noodle Dinner

We practiced our first spaghetti dinner without the sauce first! As usual, she got more on the floor than in her! But at least we spared the sauce :-)

Hmmmm...this seems harmless

Apparently she doesn't know the social eitquettes (like keeping mouth closed when it's full ;-)

Either that's her way of saying "I'm not finished yet!" or "Please clean me off!"

Our little "pumpkin"

I think we got the cutest pumpkin from the pumpkin patch ;-)

Ava's Well Visit

Well, the stats are in and Ava passed her Well Visit with flying colors. She is now 18 lbs, 6.5 oz and her body length is 28.5 inches. She's in the 48th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height. Of course she didn't get to leave the doctor's office without shots! She got two shots in each leg. At least she received two less than the the last Well Visit in August! Daddy got to hold her while the shots were being administered, still doesn't make the pain any less. Poor baby :-(

See my boo-boo's?

Having a little family fun after dinner.

Ava practicing her wrestling technique.

Ava wrestling down a friendly family room snake...don't mind the "bed head" hairdo ;-)

New Internet Generation

I think the WiFi and Internet Cafe is catching on to the next generation. Yes, it's sad but I can't go anywhere without my laptop. Someone forgot to cut the invisible umbilical cord! But, it comes in handy when you need to entertain a six year old especially when you want to sit and enjoy a cup of java.

Dead Ringers?

After our scenic tour and hike, we headed back into Wellsboro for a bite to eat. Then we drove around Rt 6 for a while and decided to head back to our hotel in Mansfield. We saw a coffee shop on Main St. and decided it would be nice to finish off the afternoon with coffee and hot chocolate.

I couldn't help but notice the store front of the coffee shop. I think one of the mannequins was sticking it's tongue out at me. Some people would say the mannequins in the window were "dead ringers". ;-)

Yeah, the Vista was lovely

In between family shots, we did manage to take some scenic photos.

The "Natural".....poser

My "big" hammie! Sebastian is very photo-genic and I never miss a photo opportunity.

Our first family portrait

A tourist was kind enough to take our family photo when we reached the end of the trail. Finally, one of the few family portraits we have :-)

Family Adventures

After seeing the black bear on the road, Sebastian was afraid to go on the trail. It took us almost half our hike to convince him the bear was far far away. We drove a good two miles past the bear siting.

Bear? What Bear??

All that fresh air tuckered someone out. The hike took us about 45 minutes to complete. We ended up having to carry the stroller because the gravel and bumps were not conducive to the sleeping baby cub's nap (meaning comfortable). She even has her arms up when she's sleeping. She reminded me of a possum instead of a cub ;-)

Bear Cub sitings!

We were driving along the park when a bear jumped out of the bushes onto the road. We thought for a split second that the bear was actually a statue on the side of the road. But it got scared by the car and ran back into hiding. I think it was a very rare instance for anyone in the park.

On a separate note, we had a rare white bear cub siting as well. This was our lucky day!! (Note: We did not actually take a picture of this black bear cub. Since the original black bar disappeared too quickly, I had to find a stand in.)
