Plain cuteness

Ava looking through her binoculars  ;-)
Everytime I see Ava's head disappear in her coat hood, I can't help but think about Darth Vader.  In episode three of the Star War's movie, Luke Skywalker unveils Darth Vader after he finds out Darth Vader is his Father.  That's what Ava's picture reminds me of.

"Luuuuke.....I am your Moooother?"  (totally ad libbing of course)

Winter wonderland

Ava was upset because she wanted to take off her mittens.  But her hands kept getting cold and wet and when we went to put on her mittens again, she wanted them off again.  This is why I need to stay full time employed...cabin fever would have a whole new meaning for this Mom.

Avaaaa....what are you doing?

Avaaaa...is that clean snow?

Daddy and Sebastian using the shed for snowball target practice.  Ava almost got in the line a fire a couple times.

Frosty resurrected

The first snowman got demolished by an airborn snowball.  Sebastian got upset about the first one being destroyed so we built the second snowman out back.

Seasons

We went from this....

.....to this.

Back track

Now that the weather is cold, I wish we had warm weather again!  I finally went through the pictures taken over the summer on our Nikon camera.  I keep saying that I'm going to take more pictures from the Nikon but it's so big and bulky to me (compared to my portable Canon camera).  But the picture quality without a question, is so much better on the Nikon.  These photos reminded me of the nice, sunny, warm weather...sigh...only six more months to go.

Come over to my pad?

Ava's Crib
(she may be almost three years old but she still sleeps in baby positions)  ;-)

Marley's crib
(don't you even knock?)

I don't even want to ask how he got in this position.

Another Tooth Fairy visit

As I have mentioned in previous posts, Sebastian's baby teeth hang on forever once they start to loosen up.  He's had the same loose tooth for about three months.  We were in the middle of dinner the other night and the tooth finally decided to come out.

I guess the song "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" still applies?   The song doesn't indicate the top or bottom teeth  :-P

Flu Shot Sign

Every day when I drive past this sign advertising flu shots, I want to take a picture of it because it just doesn't make sense.  The sign is outside a chiropractor's office which is even more confusing.  So I finally remembered to pull out my camera but the picture came out a little blurry.  If you click on the picture below, you may be able to blow up the picture bigger.  The letters a still readable.

Oscar Nominee

One morning we were just fooling around in the bathroom.  Ava loves to watch herself in the mirror while brushing her teeth.  She has also discovered the art of mimicking.  She is an expert face maker, especially on command.  We were thinking of putting Sebastian in some sort of theater program but we may have to enroll the both of them.    ;-)

And the Oscar goes too.....

Miss Piggy Face.

The Surprise Face.

Miss Opera Face.

The Shocked Face.

In Your Face!

Put on a Happy Face.

Last but not least....this is what Ava's twin would look like . :-P

Santa Correspondence

Sebastian finally sat down to write a letter to Santa.  He really had to concentrate and think of all the things he saw, heard and read about in the past six months.

This is hard...my wish list can be short or really long.  Now if only I could just remember what I wanted.

Maybe I can yank it out.

Maybe I can squeeze it out.

Oh yeah, and Santa, please bring something for Ava too.

The tree model

After the tree was decorated, it was bath time.  Ava stripped down to her "skivvies" and decided to model in front of the tree.  It doesn't get any cuter than this!  LOL!!

It's beginning to look like Christmas..

This year Ava wanted to help with all the Xmas decorating.  Last year Sebastian was in charge of putting up the snow flakes on the windows.  This year he couldn't care less and so the tradition has been passed down.  Not that she minded because she wanted to do it all by herself!

This was the weekend for arts and crafts.  After dinner I let the kids ice their own cookies.

Now I know Sebastian and Ava are related.  They like to decorate their cookies "free style".  By the time they were finished applying the icing, you couldn't even see the cookies!  Ugh.....

Elizabeth was the last to finish but you can tell by the quality of work that it was all worth it   ;-)

The last thing we had to do was dress the Xmas tree.  I thought it was so cute that Sebastian was showing off all our homemade ornaments to Elizabeth.  He was actually proud of them for once.

Ava concentrated heavily in hanging her ornaments....

.....she was in charge of all the lower branches of course.   :-P

The next morning, there were four ornaments laying on the floor.  I should have dusted for paw prints!   ;-)

Memory Lane

I found out this weekend that last week was Ms. Ty's last week at the daycare.  We were so crushed because Ms. Ty helped us with the big potty training program and now she's leaving the school for a new career opportunity.  Good news for her but very sad for us.  Of course, I tend to be more attached to the teachers than the kids are.  It's always a hard transition for me ;-)

Watching Sebastian and Ava make the arts and crafts brought back so many memories of when Sebastian was three years old and attend the very same daycare as Ava's.  Sebastian blossomed at this daycare and that is why we decided to put Ava in the same program.  It has been five years and the daycare still does "Breakfast with Frosty" and has the very same arts and crafts.  Watching Ava do her arts and crafts was like watching time stand still.

Ava's very first candy cane tree decoration.

Making Reindeer food bags.

After a visit at the daycare, we went to our Kindermusic class.  Ava was pooped out after running around for almost three hours.  I think she was in the process of taking her shoes off and just nodded off instead.   I turned around and saw this....
