We took the Pinkerton Family out for dinner on Friday night as a Thank you for taking care of us while we stayed in HCMC. We will be leaving on Sunday to Hanoi for our final leg. We had dinner at the Rex Hotel last weekend and we had enjoyed it so much we wanted to go back. They have two restaurants, one outdoor with a covered veranda and the other indoor. They have musicians playing the native instruments and they have a couple dancers performing their customary dances. We had missed the performances the first visit due to the babies bedtime schedules. We risked it last night with the babies being out so late but they did well once the music started playing.
Fancy appetizer, vietnamese spring rolls toothpicked on a pineapple. There was a candle under the pineapple to make it lit up.
Two of the Pinkerton kids, Hanna and Isaih.
Paul offered to hold Ava while we ate our dinner. One thing we have observed while dining out the past two weeks. The waiters in the restaurants do not know how to time everything. Sometimes the meals come out before the drinks. Sometimes half of the table get their food at once while the other half don't get their food until 20 minutes later. This was the case at the Rex Hotel. Paul's side of the table got menus first and got to order. We didn't get to order our entrees until Paul's dinner was served.
